Add-On Feature Availability

Overview

SageScreen supports council-level branding that applies to candidate-facing pages and invitation emails. Branding is available as an add-on feature and lets you control the visual identity and messaging candidates encounter throughout the screening process.

Branding Options

When the branding add-on is enabled for your council, you can customize the following elements of the candidate experience.

Logo

Upload your organization's logo. The logo appears in candidate invitation emails, providing visual recognition before the candidate enters the screening. Supported formats include JPG, PNG, and GIF.

Custom CSS

A CSS editor is available for styling candidate-facing pages. Custom styles are applied to the candidate page wrapper, allowing you to adjust colors, fonts, spacing, and other visual elements to match your brand. This applies globally to all candidate-facing templates for your council.

Note

Custom CSS is listed as coming soon in the current release. The field is visible in council settings but is not yet active.

Email Customization

Invitation emails support full customization at the council level. The following fields are configurable:

Field Description
From Name The sender name candidates see in their inbox
From Address The sender email address
Reply-To Address Where candidate replies are directed
Subject Line Supports dynamic variables for personalization
Header Text Displayed prominently at the top of the email
Body Content The main email content, with HTML support and dynamic variable replacement

Dynamic Email Variables

Insert these placeholders into your email fields. They are replaced with live values when the invitation is sent.

Variable Description Available In
::FIRST_NAME:: Candidate's first name Header, Subject, Body
::LAST_NAME:: Candidate's last name Header, Subject, Body
::POSITION:: Job position title Header, Subject, Body
::COUNCIL:: Your organization name Header, Subject, Body
::INVITE_LINK:: The screening invitation URL Body only
::EXPIRES:: Invitation expiration date Subject, Body
::DURATION:: Expected screening duration Subject, Body

Important

Always include ::INVITE_LINK:: in the email body. Without it, candidates cannot access their screening.

Configuration Cascade

Email settings follow a priority cascade. This lets you set defaults at the council level and override them per Sage or per Screen when needed. Settings at a higher priority level take precedence over those below.

1

Screen-Level Settings

Highest priority. Settings configured on an individual screen override everything else.

2

Sage-Level Settings

Apply to all screens created under that Sage, unless overridden at the screen level.

3

Council-Level Settings

The default for your entire organization. Most organizations configure branding here and leave Sage and Screen levels untouched.

4

Global Defaults

Applied when no council, Sage, or screen-level settings are configured. Lowest priority.

Tip

You only need to configure at the level where you want differentiation. Most organizations set their branding at the council level and leave it there.

Custom Domains

Custom domain support is available as a separate add-on. This feature allows your screening invitations and candidate-facing pages to use your own domain rather than the default SageScreen URL.

  • Screening invitation links use your domain instead of the default SageScreen URL
  • Candidate-facing pages are served under your branded domain
  • Configuration is handled by your account representative

Note

Custom domain configuration requires coordination with your account representative. Contact them directly to get started.
