Sage Levels: Technical Differences

What distinguishes Lite, Core, and Advanced Sages, and how to choose the right level for your role.

SageScreen offers three Sage levels: Lite, Core, and Advanced. The level determines the maximum interview duration and the credit cost per screening. All three levels use the same AI evaluation engine and produce the same report structure. The difference is scope, not quality.

The table below summarizes how the three levels differ.

Attribute Lite Core Advanced
Interview duration Shortest Medium Longest
Credit cost per screen Lowest Medium Highest
Languages All supported All supported All supported
English Proficiency Not available Included Included
Evaluation engine Same Same Same
Report structure Same Same Same
Recommendations Same Same Same

The level you choose should match the depth of evaluation the role requires. The level is set when the Sage is created, based on the Sage Mentor selected. Each Sage Mentor defines which levels are available and what duration range each level supports.

  • Lite: Appropriate for roles where a brief, focused conversation is sufficient to assess alignment. Shorter interviews with fewer questions. Best suited for high-volume or entry-level positions where speed matters.
  • Core: The standard choice for most roles. Provides enough interview time for thorough exploration of competencies and cultural fit. Recommended as the default when you are unsure which level to select.
  • Advanced: Designed for senior or complex roles where deep evaluation across multiple dimensions is required. Longer interviews allow the Sage to probe more areas in greater depth. Use this level when surface-level answers are not sufficient to make a confident assessment.
  • Languages: Every supported language is available on all three levels, with no additional credit cost.
  • English Proficiency: Included on Core and Advanced Sages at no additional credit cost. It evaluates a candidate’s English proficiency during the screening, independent of the Sage’s configured language.
